In Conjunction with Earth Hour

Back in 2006, my sister, who was studying Fashion Design did a thesis on the use of Bamboo fiber in producing clothes. In order to convince her supervisors on the existence of Bamboo clothing, she ordered a couple of Bamboo T.Shirts and a Bamboo shawl. They were amazed.

Back then eco-friendly garments were just slowly emerging.

Recently, I picked up a magazine and found articles featuring environmental friendly garments and Bamboo fiber was one of the selections. It goes to show eco-friendly clothing do appeal to the masses. There were not many websites of Bamboo clothing back then but today there are many to choose from.

For those of you who are still unaware of the advantages of Bamboo clothing, aside from having a texture which is softer than that of a cotton, it is also naturally anti-microbial and it will keep you warmer in a cold day and cooler in a warmer day. How's that for a comfortable wear.

In conjunction with Earth Hour tomorrow, I wish all of you to continue in preserving and conserving our precious earth.
