Some have got to go

I've been thinking to give away some of my clothes. I can always give them away for free but thinking about the quirky styles in some of the clothes, deep in my mind I'm thinking they must worth some money. At least I can sell 'em for half the prices.
Susie's post ( Style Bubble ) on the day she sold her clothes on the street  really caught my attention. Haha! If only I could do it. But I guess I'm not really a risk-taker (having to be chased away by authorities and all).

I love all my clothes but I must make space for new ones :D. Therefore, some of it's got to go. Truth is, I haven't really laid them out and make my choices yet. I don't have that big a wardrobe anyway. But I guess if I were to stick to my plan to invest in one quality outfit a month, the old ones must really go. Anyway, the one outfit a month plan is probably the best way for me to curb my spending :p.
For now, I don't prefer selling the clothes online as it's difficult for me to go to the post office. How  is it difficult? Let me keep that to myself.
I know about flea market and stuff, just that I've never joined one and it's for me to find out if it's going to be held anywhere in the city nearby.

Photo shoot pics

Here are a few pictures from a recent photo shoot taken by a talented good friend of mine. It was just for fun.

I have to say it was quite tiring. Nevertheless, it's fulfilling to see the end result.

Earrings To Love

I think us girls should have at least one pair of earrings that we can turn to for that special occasions. I love earrings. They just complete the whole outfit. There are just so many to choose from. But not all of us could afford to pay thousands of dollars for a pair of earrings. A good option would be to choose a pair which does not fall into the too expensive or too cheap categories. You don't wanna spend more than you can afford and you don't wanna have something tacky-looking either.
ShopNBC has quite a number of classy affordable earrings. These are a few of my favorites.
14K Tri-Color, White or Yellow Gold Satin & Polish Ribbon 1.5" Hoop Earrings. $79.

Sterling Silver Pink or Blue Austrian Crystal "Color Me Beautiful" Earrings. $49.50.
BELITA™ Platinum Embraced™ Brilliante® Canary & White Hoop Earrings. $87.
Sterling Silver Diamond Heart Dangle Hoop Earrings. $163.25.

What can I say. I'm a fan of hoop earrings. Of course, there are other types you can choose.
Sometimes it only takes a pair of earrings to make you stand out. The key is really "less is more". If you know you are sporting a stunning pair of earrings, you can just tone down on other accessories. Cos we just want to look classy without being over the top.

Affordable makeup palette and base

It's been a while since I blogged about makeup. Just wanna share with you a few recent makeup items that I have.

I've been looking for an affordable makeup primer or makeup base. Went to Elianto makeup counter and the salesgirl suggested me the Miracle UV BB Balm. I never used it but I bought it anyway to see how well it works. Thankfully it does work well. It does make my foundation glides smoothly on the skin. It's also colourless which makes it really easy to blend. It acts as a base for makeup and has SPF 50 PA+++. I can see why it will be one of my favourites.

I also bought myself the eye primer. Nowadays, I'm just concerned about having a good makeup base cos I really don't wanna be bothered by creasing makeup or eyeshadows.
What I really like about both of these primers is that they make foundation and eyeshadows spread smoothly and evenly on the skin. No kidding. They're quite long-lasting too. The best part was I got discounts for both so I just paid like RM40 something.

This is my Celia makeup palette. I talked about it here. Received it somewhere in March. Only got to blog about it now. Hehe. The eyeshadows can be more pigmented if you use 'em with eye primer. Not bad actually. If you like to experiment with different colours, this palette can really come in handy. In fact I use them quite a lot too.

That's it for my makeup post. Cheers!

Fab Items

Check out Kimana, a Singapore-based online store. They really have some eye-catching items. These are a few of my favourites.

You can get 2% off of your purchase by entering "fabfashion" in the additional remarks when you place an order. Visit Kimana now.

The Jegs

Posting my outfits for the past few days. Well, I only went out twice. I know. These are like no-brainer styles. Nothing super boombastic. The days when you just throw on anything. But I'm just loving the jeggings. By the way, I had to convince my mom to take these pics. :p

Excuse the hair.

* I hope you know to click on the pics for a bigger view.

Checkered tunic - Candellila Online Boutique
Jeggings - Tomsgirl
Sandals - Vincci

Despite my "lateness" in discovering it and the controversy surrounding its name, I find it very, very much comfortable compared to the denim skinnies.

Empire waist dress, cardigan, shoes - local boutiques
Jeggings - Tomsgirl

Truth is I'm not even sure if these are what they called jeggings.

But I know for a fact it's made of light denim. Notice the jeans-like seams on the side. Liking the twist it gives.

Cheers!

More Maxi Dresses To Love

I know I've talked about it in my previous post. It just excites me to talk about it again.
Currently, my eyes are on the different styles of maxi dresses. Today's maxi dresses are not only the type you would wear to the beach. Today's maxi dresses scream "I'm an effortlessly chic city slicker!". You can just wear them while sashaying around the city or choose the classy type for a splendid night out.
If you surf through Very.co.uk, I'm sure you will find a maxi dress you love. If you ask me, they're gorgeous! You can choose from the different colours and patterns that suit your lifestyle.

I can just understand why more and more women are opting for maxi dresses. The formfitting top and loose flowing bottom creates the illusion of a taller silhouette. You can always pair them with embellished slippers, flip flops or wedged heels. The choices are yours and when paired with suitable accessories, you’re good to go.
