Turban Headbands, Turbands?

I've been seeing a lot of turban headbands lately... online. It took quite a while to register as a chic fashion statement in my head ( I really like it now). I could only find a few from the local shopping websites and they're quite expensive too. I learnt that it's better to invest not so much on a trend as we all know trends will go away. What's better, we can actually DIY it and it doesn't take super duper skills. Nevertheless, I'll probably look out for them at the stores first.

Good things come to those who wait

Hey there. It's been a while since I've posted an outfit pic. Last week, I attended my cousin's wedding reception. Attending weddings nowadays makes me feel like "when is it gonna be my turn?" ^_^ I'm not gonna lie. But yeah. I'm holding on to the saying "good things come to those who wait". Well, not like I'm gonna get married when I'm old and cranky. Anyways, here's a couple of pics.

Tri-Factor Glam Night

How do you like to participate in a modeling, photography and fashion designing competition?

The Event Management Club from HELP University is organising a mega fashion competition known as Tri-Factor Glam Night. They have come up with a brand new concept called 'Tri-Factor' whereby they will organise a fashion competition that combines modeling, photography, and fashion designing.

Auditions will be held at e@Curve on the 25th and 26th of June, from 10.30am to 8.30pm. A panel of judges will select top 20 contestants from each category which is modelling, photography and fashion designing. The contestants will be randomly assigned to teams of 3 and together they will go through a series of mini-competitions leading up to the Grand Finale.

The grand finale which is called Tri-Factor Glam Night is Malaysia's first fashion concert which will be held on 22nd October 2011 at KL Live (Life Centre).  The points for each model, photographer and fashion designer will be accumulated and the team with the highest score will win the coveted title of 'Tri-Factor Glam Night Champion'. During the night of the grand finale, models will be walking on a unique V-shaped runway, accompanied by singing, dancing and fire breathing performers. There will also be performances by local celebrities such as Jaclyn Victor, Beat The System, Yuna, Tom, Fiq, Iqwal, Iz, top model Eleen Yong, fashion guru Amelia Tan and professional photographer Jacky Koh. 

The auditions are opened to all contestants who are interested in either modeling, photography, or fashion designing and must be above the age of 16. The modeling category is limited to females only, whilst the other categories (photography and fashion designing) can consist of both males and females.
