Classic Footwear

Whenever there's a special occasion coming up, I would find myself looking for a new pair of shoes or a new dinner clutch or a new dress. Don't I have one already? It's like a mystery. The old ones, although still very much wearable, never seem to suit my current taste or how I want my look to be. But at the same time, I just don't want to splurge too much on something that I will only wear once or better, twice.

There's a wedding coming up (the couple are both my good friends) and I just wanna show up looking my best. Thank goodness I still have a dress (or more) that I haven't worn. Or I'll be buying an entire ensemble just for that special night. So I only spent some money on a pair of strappy heels. I know there's a variety of choice out there but I just didn't wanna mess up with my head. I opted for something classic and timeless and more importantly comfortable as in not too high. I think these are just nice for me. Heck. I can even wear this again for my engagement party. Oops. That will be a different story.

Next, I'm eyeing for a new clutch. Arghhh... Girls will be girls.

I think KAISON is the last place you would find a fedora but I did anyway. I'm not really a hat person but the cheap price is just so hard to pass. Where else could you find a RM3.90 fedora? I also love the skinny belt and already planning to buy more in different colours.

Anyways, anyone of you is heading to World Youth Day in Spain? Or are you already there? My sister and her friends are already on their way to Spain. They did ask me to come along but hmmm... Well, let's just say the timing is not right for me. Nevertheless, I pray for their safe journey. It's not like everyday you got to go to Spain and see His Holiness Pope.

On another story, I sort of got struck by an epiphany that sometimes we care too much about work and other stuff that we forget about the people who really matter to us. They are the ones who will take care of us when we hit the lowest point in life. I wish I have this realisation every day to cherish my loved ones enough.

Also, never look up to anyone as if they are infallible, no matter how successful and perfect they seem to be. They have their own struggles and believe me, weaknesses. Only God is perfect. 

Always believe that God will give you better ways that you would never imagine if you put all your trust in Him. Have a great weekend.. :)

The Occasion

Hey there! I know it's been about posting up pictures more than words nowadays. It's just that sometimes I think what I've been up to nowadays are not interesting enough to be shared here. I mean I spend most of my time in the rural area... But I'm not gonna go further on that. 

I've been thinking about and eyeing for some dresses recently and they're not casual dresses ^_^. Well, they're not evening dresses either. Just something in between. Here are a couple of examples.

Although I might not go for these colours. I'm opting for something pastel and romantic. Ok, truth is the occasion is not until 2 months and I'm not supposed to feel excited about it yet or am I supposed to? I'm just the type who plans early if given the chance.

I've already bought this one dress online which I thought might be the one but then decided to keep my options open once again. I just don't want to get carried away with my penchant for vintage-inspired dresses.

When the time comes I'll sure let you guys know. :)

In the meantime, I'm keeping these dresses in my inspiration folder.
